could use a little help. bought a linksys wireless G router and pci card. installed router no sweat. installed pci card and booted comp. xp found new hardware and asked if i had drivers. inserted cd and hit next. comp. seems to be trying to read A drive and then tells me it would like to go on the internet and search for drivers. i backed up and told it to look on cd drive to no avail. doesn't seem to even try cd drive. went to linksys site and downloaded new drivers and burned to a cd. same reaction. took to my other comp. and pulled drivers folder off and put on a floppy. still doesn't like it. my cd drive will play other discs so i know it's working. the ultimate catch-22, xp wants to access internet for drivers that, without which, won't allow internet access. maybe time to get out the box of cat.5 and hook up this beast the old fashioned way. any ideas appreciated.

Not sure if it's true of Linksys as it is of Netgear (my favorite), but NG always says install the drivers off the supplied CD before physically installing the PCI card. Have seen it done the opposite, and have it not work.
