Linuc Mint 7 Gloria Borked

The install to /sdb went wrong and now my boot menu is borked. I wanted to install to see the new filesystem, copy over photos, documents, music, etc and then install over /sda

Oh well, at least I can still crack into /sda

 

I don't understand what you mean , Separate /home or...

 

I copied files from /sda/user/home to /sdb/user/home. My theory was to move what I needed and see if I liked Mint on sdb Then if I did not, I could reinstall Ubuntu 9.04 on sda and move the files back. I copied also .firefox and /usr/lib/FF and all cookies, addons, etc were there for instant browsing on sdb. :major

Never thought of my Goldwing as an MX bike until now, though.....

I am loving Jaunty as of today - traded in my old Heron for it this afternoon and all my little issues seem a thing of the past!

I added the Gloria repos to Jaunty and tested with the secondary drive for a week or so. I found it likeable and so I did the plunge and installed Jaunty on sda1 yesterday. Copy over the .config files and do the updates and we are updated here.
