I have a Linux/Debian on my really crappy computer and I am wondering if there is away that i can connect to it and run commands through my main computer which is an XP? Or another OS that I can do this with?

ok, lets start over, only download install the files manualy if you can't use your distros normal installer to install the ssh package.

Are you sure you are ready for Debian?

Don't take offense to this, but I sense you are pretty new to Linux. Consider Ubuntu.
