Linux Help Please

    Would some one please suggest Linux books for beginners? Some thing that would explain the terms used.
    I did have Ubuntu 18 on a laptop for about a month. There was just SOOO much time Googling This, that ,and the other thing, that I gave up. I would like to try again,, better prepared. There are so books to chose from.

    Bruno was an excellent mentor to anyone who was interested in linux. I would never have it installed it on a computer (dual boot) unless he was there to guide me through the dual booting.
    Sadly he died of cancer in April 2011. He was 59.
    His family promised him they'd keep his site up as long as possible.

    The first four links at the top work and give good information. Obviously the email link would not get you help from him.

    Looking at the same issues. I came up with Manjaro as a starting point for learning, mostly because it's updated with rolling updates for better security like Windows. Google about it. There are several of versions of Manjaro and some of them are specifically for newer users. There are others that are specifically designed for simplicity of use and to remove the user interaction with the OS.

    That said here is a video I liked comparing Manjaro to Solus:
