    Windows XP Pro
    SP2
    Broadband DSL
Hardwired from Actiontec Gateway to ethernet port of computer.

I am playing around thinking about networking the computers. I use XP's network wizard and on the 2nd or third screen it says:

"The wizard found a shared Internet connection on the computer 'Linux IGD"
Then it prompts me to select yes or no whether I want to share internet access with this computer.

I do not have any computers named "Linux IGD". What does this mean?
    Anyone know?

I believe that IGD means Internet Gateway Device. I guess from your post that your Internet comes through the Router (Actiontec Gateway) you mentioned. This would possibly be the device that is refered to here. If you know that it is running a Linux based O/S then it will almost certainly be it (I know little of routers, but do know that they require an O/S).
I don't know for sure, but I would guess that this is what it is.

    Hope this helps.
