I'm looking for a downloadable iso to create a live linux usb bootable micro SD card. For booting from on my desktop 3GB of usuable space.
I would like the changes made in each session to be saved to the SD card. I have used Ubuntu in the past.
Wondered if there were any thoughts?

That has nothing to do with a live linux ISO.
You put the ISO normally on a USB stick but I guess a micro hcsd card would work, just harder to boot from than USB and it loads into RAM. It never touches the actual hd in the computer.

You want a distro that has persistence. That means changes are saved to the sd card so you don't have to start from square one every time you boot up live linux. The "buntu" flavors are the ones that offer persistence.

My current favorite is LXLE desktop. It has Seamonkey as the browser and since I liked FF before they went crazy on tweaking, I like Seamonkey.

I also like different baclgrounds and this includes about 100 very good choices.

    I found that http://www.pendrivelinux.com/liveusb-install-live-usb-creator/
this works better than Unetbootin and LinuxLive to create the bootable stick.

Another small distro you might want to check out is Puppy Linux. Like Ubuntu it has persistence but is far more compact (<250MB compared with Ubuntu's massive 1400MB) and is amazingly fast. I've never felt I wanted to get deeply into Linux but even with my scant knowledge I've found it very quick and easy to get up and running, and it gets used regularly for manipulating Windows files you can't touch when it's running as well as the usual browsing and so on. Pretty amazing.

The project was to see if I could boot up from the newly installed usb3 card. A PCIE card linked to my old motherboard. Getting the Boot priority from windows 10 to start from usb card didn't work. F2 to bios. Yes I remember.
Of course the usb3 drivers are not installed...
    usb2 is okay.
