What does that mean? You can find the latest Fedora version (25) HERE.

'on"yes guess its confusing -the dvd disc went into the dvd drive and the info on disc was copyed onto the hardrive

since its just 20 gig drive will these latest versions work?

You would receive quicker help by using the correct terminology... you installed Fedora on your harddrive. Googling the system requirements of version 25 reveals this:

2o gigs should be plenty, they are not as bloated as other OS's. LXE requires 8GB of HD, BTW.
Also Live CDs give you a chance to kick the tires before you install them.

Sometimes it is not listed where you are expecting it to be.
I thought my one desktop computer could not boot from a USB device because I couldn't see it listed in the boot options.

I decided to explore all the options, when I selected HDD (for hard disk drive), there was a sub menu and in it was USB stick.

Make sure the USB stick is in a USB port, then go into the BIOS and look if you have more options under Hard drive. You might be surprised.
