well, i know its possible. try looking under the linux.com "how to's". they are outdated, but it should have something under there.

you can probably mount it like

mount /dev/hda1 /mnt but Im not sure if thats to safe, because you may lose data... but I dont think u will...

Yes you can do that via the mount command, but there are certain command line switches you have to apply, like filesystem type, conversion method, and so on. I don't remember the actual command, but try mount -? to get a list of usable parameters.

You can also insert the command into the fstab file so that it mounts the FAT32 partition every time it boots.

I am afraid i have used the mount command
but i could not do anything!
I have also gone through many HOW TO but still i cannot find the solution!

    Thank you very much anyway!

so have you tried the following:

    mount /dev/hdxn /mnt/folder
    or
    mount -t vfat /dev/hdxn /mnt/folder

hdxn: x would be the hard drive letter (a or b) and n would be partition number (starting with 1).

when you try, what message did you get? I ask because maybe you're doing something wrong and now knowing it.

I have tried this the answer would be:
There is no such device in the etc/fstab or etc/mstab file

Then I tried to edit the fstab file by giving the file system as FAT or FAT32 or anything else I could thought it might worked!

    Then i got this message
There is no such file system!

Do you know what else i can do?
