Lions-Search

    Hello, I'm new to this forum. I need advice on how to remove Lions-Search web browser (http://69.50.188.201/) from my Internet Explorer. When I click the Explorer icon, Lions-Search appears as the web browser. I have changed the home page address in Internet Options to Yahoo and clicked "apply". For the next few attempts, Yahoo does appear as the browser. However, after a few more trys, Lions-Search reappears. I followed the steps suggested by Major Attitude's "Do Not Post Until You Have Read This", and ran all of the suggested spyware and virus removal programs (while in safe mode) to no avail. I would greatly appreciate any advice or direction on how to remove this pest.

    I believe you mean it appears as your start page not as your web browser. Your web browser is still Internet Explorer isn't it. Have you looked in Add/Remove Programs for anything related to Lions-Search and if it is there, uninstall it?

    Now post a HijackThis as a .txt file attachment to your message. All running programs should be closed, including your web browser, e-mail. Close before running Hijack This!

    Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or from a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file. Place it in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT
