ok i just installed my Thermaltake Bigwater cpu cooler set up,Its performing great about a 15-20c/load drop(with the radiator out side the Case). Heres the prob,my games now have fragments.I didnt think cooling the CPU would cause this prob,so i reverted back to the heatpipe heat sink and fan,and the fragments are gone and the heat is obviously back up..Do you think its the CPU being cooler causeing this? Or maybe the added power strain to run the pump and 120mm fan? Im thinking its keeping my Video Card from getting the power it was getting before adding more hardware..Any suggestions would be great.. Thx

my video card has always been clocked at this speed, didnt have these problems till i installed the water cooler, took the water cooler off and everythig is fine.Still baffled at why it would act up like this...

Watercooling wont cause that UNLESS you installed the waterblock improperly. A change in cooling device should not effect anything at all!

Thanks for your help, but i didnt quite have my system back the way it was b4 the water cooler was installed.Computers are very strange,i have 4 DIMM slots when i put my OCZ 4200 512x2 in slots 2 and 4 and i get fragments...When i install them in slots 1 and 3 its is all good..Minor issue i guess..No howabout some opinions....

My P4 3Ghz Prescott is running at 1015Mhz FSB @ 3.8Ghz...and now with liquid cooling im at 35c idle and 55c with load and in games..Is this Temp ok? i use to hit 80c with in 5 minutes of playing Half Life 2,no i dont even break 60c..i love these temps now, but dont know if there still sorta high? Hell i feel like im almost back to my northwood CPU temps,AhHhHhHHHhh the good ol' Days

those temps are just fine (then again, I'm an AMD guy, those temps are pretty conserative for my OC jobs :p)

From what I understand prescotts are designed to be able to run that hot (and even hotter). So you should be fine.

How did you get that 3Ghz prescott @3.8 Ghz:eek: ?
At what voltage is your cpu running?

sorry for not being able to reply sooner,i got my 3ghz p4 to 3.8ghz like this:1st i bought some good RAM OCZ 4200EL(533) went into bios set my RAM on ddr400,then made my voltages on the RAM to 2.8v...Then i increased my CPU(Vcore) to 1.55v and increased my Front side bus to 254(508mhz)x15multiplier wich game me a FSB of 1015mhz and brought the CPU to 3.8Ghz ;).
I then bumped the GPU to 1.65v to overclock the card and not bottleneck anything..Thats how i did it(will it work for you) maybe, like the guide says,''all computers overclock differently'' all depends on how cool you can keep the temps and what your motherboard will allow..Good Luck, and please let me know how it works out for you..
