Australian TV featured this last night.
Showed actual film of them blowing up and also photos of the results afterwards.
I've got a new Toshiba. Hope they are OK.

im not so familiar with this actually, what if it explode,does it can be refunded or change into new one with no extra co$t?

So, Rootkits, exploding batteries and flourescant bulbs - what more can go wrong? Or is it best not to ask?

If you're on linux on your laptop (which you should be, damnit ) then run this:

grep -i info /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info

If it comes up with Sony, then check the serial number. If it come up with something (in my case Sanyo) then you're fine
