    i hope this isnt a repeat and appologize if it is but there is a website that explains things that are in hijackthis

    i would of done a search within the forums as i am sure some one has posted this site but i didnt know what to search for

    on this site it list all the things that are listen by hijack this so u can see if its safe or not?

    thanks alot but not what i meant there is a site where you can actually search for specific registrys to see what they are. May i post my log so you can just tell me what to remove, i kind of know its something called USBhardware32.exe but there are three listed

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [USB Hardware32 Monitoring] USBhardware32.exe

    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [USB Hardware32 Monitoring] USBhardware32.exe

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [USB Hardware32 Monitoring] USBhardware32.exe

    not sure if they are all to be delted, would really appreciate if i could post you the whole list (its not big its only recently been formatted) so you could advise anything else to delte.

    The link to one of those kind of sites is in the link I gave you (just before the Official Tutorial). Those kind of sites are far from perfect though. You still need to be careful when using those sites. They can be helpful but are not perfect.


    Those lines do seem suspicious but before posting a log I would have to ask what problems you are having and also we require that users follow ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

    If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

    ok i am unable to access the internet properly including things such as messenger and programs that need to update from the net. When i ctrl alt delete and end the process USBhardware32.exe my problem goes away.

    I should also note (this is not actually my pc its a friends but he doesnt know anything about pcs) the when in a webbroswer the scroll is not smooth- I only mention this because i saw some one else mention it within this forum as i wouldnt of thought that was spyware but just in case thought i would mention in,

    the biggest problem was not getting internet access but as i say once i kill the process name USBhardware32.exe its fine.

    hope this is enough info,

    by the way i have update spybot S & D and also my antivir the antivir finds nothing but spy bot seems to find 5 DSO explots every time. thanks again for your help in advanced

    You should install this: Spybot - Search and Destroy DSO Exploit Fix

    and run the steps in that tutorial. If shutting down that EXE resolves your connection issues then it is more than likely a piece of malware. You should tutorial because chances are you have other issues too.

    We prefer that the tutorial be run first as it will clean/fix many problems and will do it in a more complete manner than will just using HJT. Yes, HJT will in many cases be needed (sometimes along with other tools) to finalize the repairs, but using it first can result in incomplete cleanups and remaining registry entries that are not desired. So run those steps and if still having a problem then post your HJT log (after reading the HJT sticky thread).
