Not sure if this topic should go in this forum, but it seems the most appropriate to me. Anyways, I have a question about Litestep... I installed it, then I ran a spyware/adware scan on my computer and it found 1 critical registry value that must be removed. So, naturally, I removed it, and when I restarted my computer, it reverted back to the explorer shell, rather than using the Litestep shell. Now, I'm assuming that this registry file was the one that the Litestep shell uses... Is Litestep a "dangerous" program, or can that registry file be ignored as it won't cause any damage to my laptop? Thanks for any help in advance.

Normal applications doesn't replace the Windows Shell, therefore it is considered suspicous. One could imagine a bad application which set it self as Windows Shell, allowing it to load in memory and then started the normal Windows Shell (explorer.exe) so the user wouldn't notice that the bad application was loaded.
