I reinstalled windows on my desktop but now my desktop will not allow me onto the internet explorer. Is there a way I could load windows media player to the desktop so I could use it to play cd's? Please advise. I have a laptop that I have access to the internet.

    Thank you,

VLC will play music CDs, includes all the codecs you need. It also will play DVDs and does not require that you have internet access.

I use a portable version on a USB stick on some computers and have it installed on others.
