Loading outlook auto loads ie

    has anyone encountered this before?

    This is an XP SP2 machine.

    Although I've never encountered the problem that you describe, it wouldn't surprise me. As OutLook Express is an integral part of IE ( not sure about OutLook ), both programs use the same settings etc. I just tried it on the machine that I'm using, had FireFox open as a browser and IE didn't load. Hope this helps!:)

    turns out it had something to do with either the yahoo or google toolbar, because when both of these were removed the problem went away
