    Hi all!
My Asus netbook came preloaded w/Linux, which I am finding not too practical, such as wanting to use my new Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go. Can I load the XP from the backup on my laptop to the Asus using a USB Direct Connect cable?
    Thanks in advance!

Don't believe it works that way.
Otherwise only one copy of an OS would be required for the entire world. Everybody would just copy from their neighbor.
Not to mention the differences in hardware configurations and the drivers for your devices.
Best to get a copy of Windows and start fresh. (and legal).

No. The XP on your laptop is for one computer.
Chances are also good that the key associated with the laptop would not be accepted on the netbook should you choose to uninstall from the laptop and install on the netbook.
