Local area connection error messgae

Hi.I keep getting a message stating 'local area connection a network cable is unplugged'..well the good thing is i'm not being disconnected from the net... i tried changing the cable between the router and the modem and no success ...
any suggestions on what might be happening and how do i correct it?And thanks for the help .

 

Ok i'll answer myself ...the reason i'm doing it is because i really screwed up ...first off it should be ... Local area connection error message...secondly i changed the cable between the modem and the computer not the router ...:-o..but i still can connect to the net and stay connected ..
Sorry for the confusion ..

 

I did some more trial and error ..i started my computer in safe mode and it would not let me connect to the net but here i am again when i started up in regular mode ...any ideas as to why ?This error message is driving me nuts :confused
