OK...Here goes. I lost my Local Area Connection (LAC) a couple days ago. I have DSL through a modem, ethernet wired, Dell Desktop...The LAC will not repair itself, and I have run spybot and Ccleaner..I have tried two different System Restores and even tried to change the Speed/Duplex...the icon in the tray either says 10mbps (limited or no access) or has the red X...I have attached a Network Diagnostic run time log (this was a default program on the PC trying to fix the connection)..

What am I missing here, Anyone have this happen to them? Any ideas?

I am at work on the internet so I will try to check back soon for answers...

    Thanks in advance

    Maybe try a plug-in card?
The onboard (if that is what you are using) could be bad.

Open Device Manager and see if there are any red x's or yellow flags next to your network adapter. Next, open a command prompt, Windows Key + R, type cmd and then type the following without the quotes and paste all the results back here, "ipconfig /all". Also check, open IE, click Tools, Internet Options, Connection Tab and then the LAN Tab and in the window that opens make sure that all the check boxes are clear, if not clear them and close IE and re-open IE.

Is the DSL light solid on the modem (router)?
Reset the DSL router then try to repair the connection.
Call your provider and see is the router is 'trained' a term they use for connected to the network. Have them run a line check.

    Could try a hard reset.
Power off the PC, router and modem box.
Wait several minutes, then power on the modem box.
When all lights are burning steady, power up the router.
When stable, power up your PC.
