Hi, I rescently downloaded Lock My Folder 1.2.3 shareware, so i could restrict my secondary hard drive to other users in my household. After installing it and applying the restrictions to my D drive i restarted my computer, and restarted lock my folders. But now the D drive dropped out of the locker folder and i cant unlock it. So im locked out of my own hard drive. How can i regain access?

I am using windows xp home.
At the moment I am running Recover My Files to try and get all my files back but that will take several hours (80 gigs of files). So if anyone can help me regain access to my disk drive, I will be eternally greatfull.

    Backup first....

What would one be able to do, if they were to uninstall said program?

Look under Settings and see if you have an option to "lift" all restrictions on everything, then restart and see if the drive shows up.

uninstalling and reinstalling didnt work. There is something it installs deep and im not sure where.

I have tried the unlock all setting and every unlock option in the software. The software isnt picking up the hard drive i locked up so i can unlock it.

Locate the drive with Windows Explorer and right-click. See if the program added an option in the right click menu.

there is no new commands, and when i try to browse D:\ it says:
"D:\ is not accessible. access is denied."

Also a interesting sidenote it says my 180 gig D:\ is 0 bytes of 0 bytes.

Lock My folder certainly locks your folder.

What happens, if you Click START, then RUN, then type in CMD (press enter).

    D: (press enter)
    Dir /ah /as /s (press enter)

    Any info?

Also, right click on "My computer", select manage, then click on: "Disk management" Does D: show up?
