    Hi all.
I've been having grief for a while where my comp freezes during online gaming.
I think my graphics card is overheating when the game gets busy.
I use a desktop fan and it seems to last longer.
If I was sure it is my card doing the freezing I would replace it, but, I don't want to do that if it could be something else.
MBM doesn't show overheating on the CPU.
The latest thing that has been causing the freeze is the Google Earth cam.
Is this very demanding on the graphics card as well??
Others opinions on my problem would be a help.
    Cheers.

I dont see how the Google Earth Cam could be demanding on the Video Card. I would think that is mainly CPU but I don't know, I could be wrong. What processor and Power Supply are you running. It may be that your PSU is too weak, so you might need to upgrade that.

From what I see of the earth cam it takes a fair bit of resource to keep up if you are scanning at low level to the ground.
Does this not put a strain on the card?
My cpu is listed below my power supply is a 600w Magna.

Oh wow, then its definately not your PSU...and im sorry I must be blind but I dont see where it says what kind of CPU You are running. I suppose the Earth cam could put some strain on the card...What kind of card are you running?

If its locking up during video intensive programs (yes, google earth puts a lil strain on ur vid card) then it is most definitely overheating. Make sure the inside of your case and the fans (case and CPU heatsink) are cleared of dust. Just to make sure that it is in fact overheating, take your case off and see if that helps. Im guessing its ither your CPU or vid card as your power supply seems more than enough.

Unex, I have my signature enabled with my comp spec in that signature.
    Can you not see it?
If I log out and look at this post I can see it, you must have something disabled, anyway, this is what you should be seeing....

    XP Home SP2
    GA-7VT600 1394 Mobo
    Athlon xp 3000 (underclocked-2100)!
    512mb RAM
    Ati Radeon 256mb 9500
    Seagate 160gb HDD
    On board sound
    Direct x 9.0
    600w Magna PSU

Crap graphics I know but it does what I want, MOHAA online gaming, it used to be fine. Maybe it's time for an upgrade.

    Viper.
I've been running with the side off for months using a desktop fan to keep it stable (ish).
That's the problem, I need to try to establish either or so I can replace the right thing.
It's a goddamn pain in the butt!
