Then I disabled it. now I got locked out of my computer, because I need password for log in (administrator), I know the name I think , but not the pass. I have looked everywhere. I can acess DOS, but it wants pass too. Help what can I do w/o having to go pay someone.... old lady here!

http://www.pcloginnow.com/ You need to burn the image to a disk, imgburn can do that. http://majorgeeks.com/ImgBurn_d4870.html Right click the pcloginnow .iso file and choose Burn with IMGBurn. Choose to burn at a low speed, say 16x for a CD, and verify. Now you need to put the CD into the CD/DVD optical drive and reboot the computer. If the Linux CD doesn't boot you will need to access the BIOS or boot drive options to set the computer to first boot from the CD/DVD optical drive. Once the Linux disk loads you need to choose the operating system and then the user. Put a check mark in the No Password box and choose to finish, reboot. Remove the disk after shut down and reboot, password should now be empty...Funny how we can forget a password, especially after changing it...There are other ways to do this but have found that using this to simply erase the password is the easiest. Windows will want to run a disk check afterward, should be ok...;)
