I have a laptop that needs to be installed in the back of an ambulance. The two problems that I'm having are 1st There are about 20 users and it just takes too long to find your login name under the default login page. 2nd I want to be able to stop user from using all programs except for about 5. Any help on these two subjects that don't cost alot of $$$.

i presume you have xp loaded
every account that you make up assuming that you are administrator will only have access to
bare bones programs loaded with xp ie: recycle bin, my computer, internet explorer ,etc
then load what programs that you want to various accounts i know this is longwinded but it works.you can also password protect each account if you want .

also i think this may work if you know anybody who has visual basic experiance you could get them to make a combo box (drop down) and put it to run at start up which will have all the names of users in click on your name and enter your password but you still will have to create the accounts first .
