Ok ... im asking for a lot of help on this stupid laptop i have. But for some reason, recently it seems like the computer is loading up something....RIGHT when i log onto windows, and its killing the memory or something, because the whole thing becomes Non-responsive. The mouse will work for a little bit then completely quit. It gets so bad the only way i can turn my laptop off, is by pulling the battery out. When i get on Safe-mode it works just fine. but when im on normal. Something kills it. The last few times i managed to get passed it by, closing the laptop, for a while till it goes into standby, then it would open back up and normaly work, but that no longer works now.

Does anybody have any idea on whats up?

I didnt know if this was a software problem or a Hardware problem. Sorry if it is the wrong section, and sorry about askin alota crap about my laptop recently

Have you checked your startup listing?
Sounds as if a virus scan or check disk is running on bootup.
Let it finish, then check for scheduled tasks and watch for any message boxes when finished loading.

On msconfig. on the startups thing. i have everything turned off. NOTHING should be opening. i even turned off alota services. or whichever that other tab is. that had Unknown publisher or something close. The only scanner i have on the laptop right now is SUPERantispyware. I pulled the battery off the computer and started it soley on the AC charger, and its working now... but im not sure if thats what was wrong, or what.

    -Edit

It HAS to be the battery.... I pulled it out again and now its fine >_> .... is that natural? or does XP not like something that involves my battery

    -Edit

Nvm i put the battery back in just to make sure...and its working now... im confused T_T

How old is the battery? Could be its way of saying"Replace me".

I guess its a bit older. Now i think its XP because its working right now with the battery inside it. And strangely... i didnt start having this problem till my friends mom put. 1clickDVDcopier or..something stupid like that on my laptop. And a decrypter. which...she had to crack cuz she didnt buy it.... i didnt like that. I thought that might have caused it..so i deleted them both but, no solution
