    Hello,

I have recently ran a Windows repair on an XP Pro OS that I moved from an old P3 machine to a brand new one. I repaired the system with a copy with SP3 without IE8 which the old OS had. The repair went fine but froze afterwards (usually because of the IE8 difference). So, I booted into recovery console and batched the IE8 spuninst.txt file to uninstall it (I have done this many times in the past successfully). After I restarted, it would not load the profile before activation and could not open the activation window (usually because the OS thinks it has IE8 but actually has IE6 after the repair). but now my problem lies with the user profile logging in and back out immediately before it will ever bring up the activation window. I tried the login/logout fix by expanding a new userinit through recovery console, but still does the same thing. I also checked the registry to make sure it was pointing to correct userinit file, and all seems fine there. I am running out of ideas.

The main problem here is I need to activate this OS on the new system and cannot load the profile to do so. I appreciate any help or ideas that anyone to help resolve this issue. Thank you in advance.
