im using windows home xp sp2...... usually when i boot my computer or restart it i briefly see the welcome screen for a few seconds and then it moves on to the desktop. i share this computer with my mother and at times she makes changes and i can usually figure out what she did. now when i boot up my comp. or restart it stops at the welcome screen and shows a small picture and her name. then i have to click on it to move on to the desktop. its not really a problem id just like to know what possibly she changed. i looked in user profiles and created one of my own just for example and when i clicked mine after a restart it loads a almost new/fresh looking windows, as in every thing is different. so i went back and deleted that one and just stick with the one she made. i didnt see any options for just having windows boot normaly like it did before she made whatever changes. i asked her and she said all she changed was the pic that shows up in the start menu in the lower left. may sound confusing but if anyone has any ideas id appreciate it. like i said its not a problem persay, i just never knew there was an option to change how windows displays the welcome screen. thanks.

You can go to start/control panel/user accounts, and make a new user or change anything you want, even change moms picture and name. lol. ed
