Log Out of MG Problem...

    Is anyone else having a problem in logging out on this site???
    For a couple days now when I go to log out I get this error message
    An error occurred while attempting to log you out. Click here to log out. the link for the "click here" is :
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/login.php?do=logout&u=19982
    and was wondering if its only me that this is happening to???

    ps. What forum or where do I ask a question regarding how to post a link?? What I want to know is that you all seem to be able to post links via words such as typing "Click here to log out" and you click on that string of words and it takes you directly to the link I want to know how to be able to do that :) thanks

    Yes I have been getting the same logout error, its not just linked to MGs but another forum I use that uses VBulletin software, which leads me to believe its an update thats not quite right in VB.


    as for your other question, to insert a line of text rather than the url, you need to click Post Reply or fromthe Quick Post box click Go Advanced, then you will see a small icon of a globe and chain click that, enter your text click ok then enter the url and click ok.

    Clear all MG cookies... log back in.. You may have to find the cookies manually.

    I've seen that error occasionally
    To post a link,i find its easier in firefox to open a new window, go to website you want link from, and drag link from address bar to here.

    I clear my cookies everytime I close my PC down so none are left for new session, this only came about in past week when board was down for maintanence for a short while.

    Not exactly the same problem, but possibly cookie related...

    A while ago when I pressed the backbutton on my browser here on this forum, all the read posts were no longer bold. For a few days now I've had to press refresh to get rid of the boldness. Not a major problem, but a little annoying, as there is sometimes very many threads to go through, and I forget what I've already looked like... This happens both at my comp at home on firefox, and at work on IE, so I don't think it is a browser problem.

    Anyone knows how to fix that?

    Did I break the forum? :eek: Already? :D

    I run into this myself using IE. It's vBulletin, not you. I have to refresh the page as well.
