LogIn Fetaure

How would I go about making a log in procedure.
I want to have a user name and password.

I have created the folder in which these will be saved to, but i do not what mode in should be opened in, in order for the member to stay logged in and for there member details to appear on a separate form.

Sample code appreciated.

 

Are you talking PHP or server validation or something else? If you just want to use html or something, here's a link to my post about that.

 

I assume that since you have a folder that you are storing this in, then you are looking for a JavaScript login. The member above gave a good example that you could use. However, be forewarned that JS would be highly insecure...

I would suggest that you use a PHP script. Much more secure, plus everything is automated; you write the code, and then the script files all the members information into a database (usually MySQL database).
