I wonder if anyone knows how to turn the login screen off if there is no password?

Basically, when I boot my pc up I dont want to click on the icon to load to the desktop. I want it to go straight to desktop from the point that I pressed the ON button.

I have tried to set no password a few times. There is also only two accounts Admin and Guest, which are pretty much default.

You dont as you have two accounts and Windows wouldnt know which one to load to desktop?

If you remove the Guest account you can auto login to the Admin account on boot, however both of these accounts are concidered a security risk,

Admin account should be passworded
Two new accounts should be created....... One account should be created but with Admin rights and One account as limited user rights to take the place of the guest account, but these I will leave to you to do or not.

i've done what you said Halo and it worked. I'll bare the security risk for now.

Sach2, your post is useful too, because I ended up having to delete that ASPNET account.

What is that anyway? Will it do any harm now that I have removed it??

ASPNET is an account created for allowing you admin access if your creating .NET applications, which the majority of people are not, so its safe to remove.
