Logitech G7 Problems

I just received my Logitech G7 two days ago after reading numerous reviews praising its quality and function. At first I loved everything about it, but after about an hour of using it it would have intermitten periods (10 seconds or so) where it would not respond at all. This happens every 1-2 minutes and is starting to become really annoying, especially when playing games. The mouse does seem to make some noice if you shake it; almost as if something where loose. Has anybody else experienced this? Should I contact Logitech, or could it be my fault, interference of some sort? Any advice would be great.

My guess would be that the reciever is too far from the mouse and not getting a constant signal, is this a laptop or desktop? ed

 

it's a laptop and is, at most, a foot and a half away from the receiver. It only works about half the time now. This really sucks cuz I have been looking forward to this mouse for a long time...Is tigerdirect good about exchanges?

 

If you used the batteries supplied, dont count on them, change the batteries before you decide to send it back. ed

 

They've both been fully charged (10 hours +).

 

Have any other batteries just to try?

 

no, they are a battery unique to the G7. It comes with two of them and a charger....

 

Sounds like time to mail it back, i know that sucks, thats why i try to buy most things within driving range. Good luck. ed
