logitech mx 510

Anyone had a chance to try this one out yet? Looks like a nice one... if I didnt already have the mx 500 I would be tempted to go get this one.

 

I actually just bought one today. I think it is an awsome mouse. Very responsive, and forms well to my hand. The buttons are convient and although I haven't been able to try it out in any FPS yet, I think it will be a great improvement over what I had.

Yes I have the 310 and the 700 as well... (2 computers and one spare mouse). the problem I had with the 310 I kept accidenally clicking the side right side button (either the forward or back button) and it was interfereing with some games... and just a little bit small... other than that a great mouse. I like the cordless aspect of the 700 but it just did not feel quite right to me. A tad on the heavy side due to the batteries and I know many will disagree with me but it just did not seem as responsive as the 500 so I relegated it as a non gaming mouse. The 510 has higher specs...(not sure how much of a difference that would make in real terms) but I really dig that new paint job!

 

i have the 500 and love it. however, i think if i could i would have gotten the blue 510 if they had it when i bought my 500.

 

Yes I have seen pictures of the blue one... very nice indeed! However the one one I have been able to find in local stores is the red... still not to shabby.

I've had it since it came out a while back.

Its a good mouse.

Wish I could have bought the blue mouse, but it wasn't out when the 510 was first released.

 

U guys think it be worth getting this mice? I got a MX310 but the dam blue color looks so nice,

 

The 510 is faster and more precise. Every button is allegedly mappable in games.

friend of mine has the 510, I've got the 700, I've to admit the 510 is the better gaming mouse by far

That depends... if you are willing to shell out the cash. The way I look at it is the mouse is something you use every time you are on your computer... so why not have the best rather than an ok mouse. Thats just me though. If this thing were $100 I would probably pass but I think $50 is reasonable for such a quality mouse.

Dan, I would suggest a usb mouse that is small and has a retractable cord, like the one I use.

 

mine has a wheel, two clickies, and a ball
it works

but my inlaw has a 510 they like it
