    Hi:

I currently use IE 6 and Incredimail. I have been reading about so many problems with both, that I am looking for dependable, secure replacements. I used to use Mozilla suite, but had lots of problems with Mozilla's browser not allowing access to certain sites, especially ones for online ordering. I would make up an order and then couldn't complete the transaction, because the screen wouldn't access final total or payment buttons. I found Mozilla email to be ok, but boring, as I could not use stationery. My hubby is using Firefox, and is noticing the same problem. He is using Outlook for email (I know, I can't believe he would use that program!) Of course, you're probably thinking the same thing about my choices.

I need a dependable, secure browser that will allow purchasing transactions and is efficient. As for email, I love being able to have stationery to brighten up my emails. Is there an email browser that is good, but will allow the use of stationery? I know, I'm asking for the world!

I am trying to research this, but don't have a lot of experience and decided to take advantage of this vast knowledge/experience base. I currently can't get Incredimail to download my emails from Earthlink, my ISP/DSL. It worked ok until I upgraded to NIS 2005. I have currently rerouted my email to my Yahoo account, but can't use stationery on there either, so this isn't a good permanent solution.

My system is a Dell Dimension 2350 with 1GB Ram, running WinXP SP-1, NIS 2005. Can anyone help??

    Thanks much,
    Linda aka Pansygirl

I'm afraid IE is the one with the most compatibilty with firefox coming in second. Most sites are just design for IE in mind. Sites are slowly starting to design more with firefox and others in mind now, but IE still has the compatibilty.

There isn't anything other then IE and firefox that really come that close. I mean there is only really four browsers, and they are IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari. There market share is also in that order.

As for e-mail I don't really know about e-mail features. I move around so much I just stick to web based e-mail 24/7.

Maxthon is IE. It's basicly a skin for IE with a few buttons added. But it's still the same engine. Meaning it will still have all the same security issues.
