Looking For A Good Backup Solution.

Hi, all.
I have been using Acronis as a backup solution, but I am disenchanted with it.
What I need is a good backup solution that will create a full system image.
I need this because I am about to do a repair install of Windows, and while I have backups of everything, I
need something solid so that when (not if) I screw the pooch on the repair install I won't have a brick for my
computer.
I don't mind paying. This is money spent on peace of mind, after all.

I have used Macrium Reflect for system and disk imaging for years and never had any issues at all with it. I believe it is still possible to download the free version but the paid version is a very safe solution. Bit puzzled as to why you feel the need to replace Acronis though as functionally it is the same as Macrium or the other main competitors such as Aomei or Hasleo Backup suite. All are very capable and reliable.

 

I have switched to Hasleo for home and work. I've been using it now for a year. I have used it to restore 2 PC's so far with excellent results.

 

I tried to upgrade from Acronis to their new version and couldn't navigate their website. That's the simple answer, sad to say.

 

I use Macrium Reflect Home & it was worth the cost. I bought the V 8 lifetime license which means I can use V 8 until it no longer works. As they have added a subscription option a user now has a choice. Tbh the free version is enough for most people.
