looking for a laptop

hello all i'm wondering if anyone knows of a nice and not too expensive laptop that can multitask very well, i'm looking around for something that i can do my comics, on so it need to be able to run adobe photoshop cs3 perfectly. also it will be used for school, so if anyone knows or any thank you.

 

define "not too expensive"

also, do you play many games? Do you want Windows Vista? Are you comfortable upgrading the RAM yourself (since RAM prices are ridiculously low, its often cheaper to upgrade it yourself).

A good place to start looking is the Dell Vostro lineup. They're essentially the same as the inspiron series, but cheaper and sold in the Dell Small Business site.

i was thinking something like this, i really want to keep it under 600 if possible, but still want it to be good, and i dont' really plan on playing too many games on it but you know if i could that would be cool, but mainly i need to do like photoshop or gimp, or w/e.

 

I have seen used laptops with Win98SE for as cheap as $150. I believe the processor was a K6/2 equivelent around 500Mhz. Close enough, or do you need better?
