looking for a new Mac....

I want to buy a new Mac laptop and would like opinions on what would be the best. I now have a 2011 MBpro. Price is important so be gentle with the suggestions please? :cool

 

No pway for us to know without knowing your usage patterns, or why the 2011 model isn't sufficient.

 

ok....I use it for photoshop, editing, music and of course all the other internet stuff. Really would like it to have something like MS word/excel but....I am a Mac fan and do not like PC. I'm not a pro, just a novice, sort of

 

...also, my current Mac has some problems with it so I need a new one and the tech support/warranty has run out. Rather start over and get a new one.

 

If you aren't a pro, get the third tier 13 inch. If you just dabble in PS, go with the second tier 13 inch.

 

Adrynalyne has you covered, I just want to add that a SSD drive is by far your best upgrade. Use external storage if you must, but get the SSD drive.

 

Yeah thats why I didn't mention the 1st tier. That 5400rpm hard drive would just be terrible.
