Looking for a program - any suggestions?

Heya,
I've been trying to get some video edited but I can't seem to find the right program. I bought Pinnacle's Dazzle Digital Video Creator 80 but the sound is always out of sync with the video. I've spent countless hours with Pinnacle's lousy support system and after all the adjustments and changes to my system, it still is out of sync.

SO, I need a new program. Any suggestions? I just want to edit video off of my video camera and burn it to disc.

Any input would be really, REALLY appreciated!

so if i use either of those programs, I have to have a way to upload the video from my camera (it's not digital), right? What would I need to do that?

 

oh wait, I have an analog video capture card...that came with Dazzle.

So now the question is, what are everyone's opinions on window xp's movie maker?

once i ran it to quickly edit some videos and it was great, the sound was syncronized with the video and i even could add music to it too

so does it let your burn a VCD or SVCD so that I can play it on a DVD player? (Since I don't have a DVD burner and all... )

 

Well, i use Adobe Premier at college. I'm using -shhh- an iMac, but i'm sure there must be a PC version too.

Works great.

Hahaha, but seriously. I've heard Premier is a good program but it's several, SEVERAL hundred dollars, right? Hahaha, as a fellow college student, well you know how it goes...NO MONEY! Hehehe.
