Looking for a tool to fix a few Corrupted word files

    I wasn't quite sure where to post this question so I will start in software. I am recovering a damaged floppy for my cousin and it has several corrupted word files on it. It looks like they will be recoverable (as I tried several shareware tools) but I can't save the files unless I license the tool. I like my cousin a lot but not worth 60 bucks. Anyone have any recomendations?

    Er 60 Bucks - is a lot to pay for a few of them. If Cuzz cannot ante up with the folding stuff why not (if its on the screen) copy and paste into a
    text file. If that does not work back to the 60 smackers???
