Looking for a Vista-like Standby program...

I have Windows Vista Home Premium and my wife has Windows XP pro. I like how Vista turns the computer virtually "Off" in stand by mode (even though it doesn't) vs the standby that XP has which lights and other things are still on.

Does anyone know where I can find an inexpensive program that makes her XP program shut down like Vista?

I think that's called hibernate in XP, never had much use for it though. Is that what you mean by stand-by? Hit a key and your computer wakes up with what you had previously and starts way quicker than a boot up?

 

I'm not sure, never used the hybernate feature. Will try that...

not sure if that's just what you are looking for but it is a very good look and feel alike for vista

Remeber that hibernate will use the same amount of disk space as the amount of your RAM if that becomes a problem.
