Looking for decent gaming PC

I'm planning to get a new gaming desktop.

I want the price range to be around $500-800

I need some suggestions if possible, thus far the best pc I found would be this : Here

This PC seems to be pretty decent except that it has 4GB RAM, I feel that for 600 I should be getting atleast 6GB +

What do you guys think?

Also, would this PC be the better choice although it's a little more pricey. Here

 

Both machines are let down by their GPUs.The second one does not warrent the price tag increase when compared against the first (which in fairness looks quite good spec fr the money). Personally I wouldnt class many of the PCs on that site in thier gaming section as gaming PCs as they seem to be using relatively low power GPU in most (At least wit your budget range). Unfortunately Not being Canadian based I dont know what alternatives you have but I think your budget may be a bit low for a true gaming PC. I would expect to spend £1000 which is about $1500 to get a high spec gaming PC. The GPU alone would set you back $300.

Have you considered building it yourself? I have just put a quick system together for $880 which I think will knock both those out the park as far as gaming goes. Rough specs below.

Intel core i3 bundeled with Gigabyte GA-H55M - S2V
AT Radeon HD6870 1GB
Corsair CMPSU - 600XV2 PSU
2xPatriot PSD34G13332H 4GB (total 8GB Ram)
500GB Hard Disk
Xion Vantage Mid Tower case
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM

I still think you could do better on the GPU front but I havnt shopped too hard and needed to keep cost down
