Thanks to Chaslang, I was able to rid my computer of malware. However, I now need to replace my Kernel32.dll file. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement Kernel32 for Windows ME? I only have the recovery discs.

    Hi janetkalino

There is a way to extract files from windows cds, Im not sure if this includes recovery discs but it is worth trying

Please see this MS Article for details on how to do this.

Kernel32.dll is the 32-bit dynamic link library found in the Windows operating system kernel. It handles memory management, input/output operations, and interrupts. When Windows boots up, kernel32.dll is loaded into a protected memory space so other applications do not take that space over.
so you can get it here
