Evening everyone, I am looking to buy a laptop for my wife. It will be Surfing , word processing but not a lot of high spec gaming. I'm in the UK and wondered if anyone had bought recently or had seen any good deals - thanks in advance.

Couple of things we need to ask to get a better idea of what you are after:

    1. Will you be carrying the laptop with you a lot? This will have a bearing on the choice as a lighter model will obviously be a better choice for totin'
    2. What is your budget? Doesn't have to be exact, just a rough figure.
    3. What size screen are you looking for? Screens are measured in inches across from one corner to the opposite corner (top-left to bottom-right for example)
    4. How long are you looking to keep the system?
    5. Will you be storing a lot of photos/videos etc on the system, or editing videos etc?

Meantime, have a look at some options here: http://www.dell.co.uk/home/laptops?~ck=mn

Hi there and thanks for the reply,
    1. It wont be doing too much travelling
    2. Budget around £400
    3.15" screen would be ok
    4. keep it as long as possible
    5. Don't think there will be an enormous amount of storage required.
Checked that link and there are some fairly good deals there, thanks in advance.
