looking for linuxy thing

hey, im making a text based game in QBAISC (in preparation for my course next year) and its basically a mock up of a linux console... this one happens to be running Debian. What im after is a few banners and stuff that it throws up at you e.g. when you log on, when you try to log on, errors etc.

im not sure, but going back to that ive not a clue

What i want is stuff like what you get in the console when you log in. and bash errors like "file cannot be found" or "command not recognised" etc. etc. and startup stuff

 

What you see when you login is /etc/motd and usually /usr/games/fortune (It may be elsewhere)... I still have no idea what you're talking about... Be more clear man!
