Looking for Plastic OEM CPU Cases

Hello. I've started selling quite a few CPU's via eBay over the last few months. All's been going well, but today I received the following email:

This is the first time I've had any issues w/ damaged parts via shipping. I do not think insurance had been purchased.

So, I've been searching for these little cases for the past few mins. I seem to find anything. Google results always seem to point to PC cases and fans.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You could email a retailer and ask how they get them perhaps?? I don't know, I've only had them when I've bought cpu's.

 

I seem to recall a processor shipped with the pins stuck into a square of styrofoam. I have used old gameboy cartridge plastic containers for storing CPUs in. You might try some of the green florists' foam -- cut a chunk to fit snugly in a small box, push the CPU pins gently into it, and put your bubble wrap over the top of the CPU.

 

What about trying a cassette tape box? Break off the 2 locating prongs inside. Or, try a floppy diskette plastic (10 capacity) box. Use syrofoam inside to locate the CPU and plenty of bubblewrap outside, especially if using a cassette box. Maybe even a DVD case. Just a few ideas, that may generate other ideas. I am after a p3 mobile CPU to upgrade my moble P2/400 for my laptop, if you come across one. PM me, or via Yahoo, if you come across anything. Bazza
