looking for quiet cpu cooler....

i have a HP palilion a1606n w/ a pentium d 805 cpu (known to run hot) im thinking about a ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro. i think it will work but im not positive and im just starting to learn about pc's. im a nube. can i please get some help??

I have both arctic cooling & zalman
Although they are both good, the zalman is well and truly the best

 

if you can up your price a bit, check out the tuniq tower (and make sure you have the room in the case for it). It's supposed to cool VERY well, and if you add in a very quiet fan at low speed, then you'll be good to go!

 

ok ill look into the lil bit more pricy units and see what i find. the oem unit is by cooler master and when clean works decent, its around 95 mm. as you probly know, im a noob but learning. at the rear of the case is a foxcon fan i want to upgrade as well, something that will increase the cfm coming out the rear. asi am told, you want to move more air out than in, right??

if you want a quiet cooler, get pretty much any Thermalright cooler... you can use your own silent fan
