   what is best place to d-load a driver for my onboard soundcard...it is PCI soundpro ht8338A. i have searched a number of sites, and even found some drivers, but for whatever reason, have not had success in getting them onto my computer and/or recognized by my machine.

   What OS are you using? maybe you are installing the wrong driver version.
   
   also check your motherboard manufacturers site as they will normally have drivers for your motheboard versions onboard sound. *best bet IMO*
