Looking For Substitute For Axcrypt

System: Microsoft Windows Home version 21H1

I use Axcrypt version 2 to encrypt the contents of some folders that contain personnel information. I do not encrypt the entire drive, just the contents of certain folders.

The problem with Axcrypt is that it is very slow and there is no feedback. If I decrypt a parent folder containing many child folders each containing other folders with many encrypted files, there is no feedback to indicate the decryption progress and no feedback to inform me when the task is complete. I could stare at the screen for minutes and have no idea what is happening.

Any suggestions as to similar products that you would recommend?
