Looking for....

OK, I have a machine that has WinXP on it and did not come with the passwords.

I tried Activ@ from their site (and found it again here, you can only download the demo btw) and am looking for something similar.

Yes, I own this machine, I am just trying to avoid having to wipe and reload as my free time is down to just about none lately with 2 jobs. Looking for any suggestions. I am hoping to locate some freeware that will take care of this. Remember, I can not log into windows so it has to be operable in a DOS environment.

I assume you have already tried the administrator account via safemode?

 

LOL.... that5 was actually the first thing I tried when the normal routes didn't work. THis is the thrid unit I have purchased from County Auction. The Admin has been passworded all the way around.

And I'm back... no go with the M$ help.... I need to figure out how to make a boot disk with DOS that will read NTFS. Then all I have to do is replace the SAM file on that one with the SAM file on this machine and I am all good
