    Which system should I get? RAM over processor? For general desktop use, some virtualization

    1) Dell Precision 5810 $399
    6 Core Xeon Processors 3.5Ghz
    16GB DDR4 ECC Ram

    2) HP Z440 Workstation $299
    3.5Ghz Intel Quad Core Xeon
    16GB ECC DDR 4 Ram

    3) Dell Precision T3600 $349
    Intel Xeon E5-2650 8-Core 2.GHz (2.8GHz Turbo)
    32GB Memory

    For general desktop use I would not buy a server type PC.

    Well, actually I am using them as more of a server, going to run Proxmox and other such things. I know ECC is more expensive, so I might go the more conventional desktop route.
