"LOOKOUT" software? Help, Impossible to find!

I recently had to switch computers (I had the same laptop for 3+ years) and had to search to find a replacement copy of Lookout (wish I would have found this site first!).

After installing on the new computer, however, I find that Lookout continually ignores certain of my archive folders. I have copied and re-copied to the new computer, I have re-indexed (including completely from scratch), and still no joy in a complete search.

I still have my old laptop, since I dont' have to rely on it as a primary computer anymore, and find that nearly every time I search in Lookout on the new computer, it's missing a file or email from the old computer.

Is there anything I can do to try to correct this? I am at my wit's end!

I'm not sure what Lookout indexes and searches exactly, but if you want a decent complete file/index search program, Google Desktop Search works decently (and is free).
