I had originally posted in the malware section, and was told to come here to make sure I don't have a software problem.
Originally, I believe I had a malware issue, as the computer would go into a reboot loop as windows would start. Safe mode would not work.
I finally reinstalled windows and I can get windows to start, but IE, Outlook and many other programs will not work.
There is also a partition on drive c that I can not access. I also have a second hard drive installed, for photo storage, and it seems that about 3/4 of them are now unreadable.
I have also tried to install different virus programs, malware, etc. and they mostly come back telling me they need to connect to the internet and can not.
I also can not do any updates to windows.
I have managed to get a hijack this log, if that will be any help.
I am definitely needing some help to get this computer back running correctly.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I'd reinstall windows again. With all the problems you have, it is faster to reinstall than to attempt to fix multiple problems.

This also tells us you have no internet access. Repairing TCP/IP might work but again a reinstall is quicker than going through 4 or 5 things to get an internet connection working.

Ok, I'll try to reinstall windows again.
But I do have internet access. I installed Firefox and I can get online.
It looks like what ever it is, is messing with the microsoft software.
Also, what about the drive partition and the photos on the other hard drive?

    Thanks for your help.

Are you doing a repair install or are you reformating your partition and doing a clean install?

I believe I had some sort of virus or trojan originally.
The computer would start, but when windows would start, the computer would reboot. It was stuck in a reboot loop.
I put my windows cd in, hoping to do a repair, but only would allow me to do an install.
After reinstalling windows, I ran spybot and malware bytes, and they found several problems.
After that, you had told me to come over to the software side and post my problem.
I am still not positive that I have all the original problem removed, but am still working at it.
My concern now is that my outlook and IE won't work.
AVG won't install because it says I need something other than SP0 of XP, but I can't do any windows updates.
I am also worried that from when the computer was brand new, I had a partition on my hard drive where I would store some programs. I can not access the partition. I also have a second hard drive installed where I would store my music and photos. Many of the photos have been damaged and I'm hoping that I can find a way to fix them as I fix the rest of the computer.
