Just been servicing a Carrerra pc with an Nvidia Geforce 4MX 440 verE with TV out. (fairly modern)

I accidentally lightly bumped one of the 7 cans, set on the board on thin palstic spacers, and knocked it off.

I was amazed to see that it appears to be some sort of 'push fit' with the (short) tails bent over and pressed against contact pads on the board. No solder was evident.

A light movement of the others showed they were slightly loose.

Any comments on this method of assembly appreciated.
